Although the indoor area is small, the center houses numerous animals inside and outdoors. We enjoyed the detailed tour provided by our guide. All of the animals were incredible and well loved. Please visit! All ticket sales go to running the facility and long-term care of the rehabilitated animals at the center.
Cole Park - Corpus Christi Sun Bear: It’s nice. Very clean. Very good. The park is mainly used for fishing, especially since it has Cole Park Pier. Oleander Point is very good for sailboarding and parasailing.
I come here every day, so maybe I’m a little biased lol. But I love this place.
Selena Museum - Corpus Christi Justice-Antokoletz Christina Hope (Black Swan Sibyl): Visiting the Selena Museum was more than just learning about her life—it was about feeling her presence. She was a light who came for a short time, but her inspiration lingers.
I was a Jehovah’s Witness when she passed, so I felt a connection to her and her family through our shared faith. Now, with a more spiritual perspective, I understand her impact in a deeper way.
Selena left behind more than music or memories. She left behind a feeling—a kind of inner strength, joy, and purity—that we can still connect to within ourselves.
The museum is simple and respectful, filled with love. I’m grateful I visited. It reminded me that even brief lives can leave something eternal.
Watergarden - Corpus Christi A A: The Watergarden is located in the center of Corpus Christi’s arts, cultural and science museums.
It is FREE to the public and open 6a to 10pm.
The entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. There is handicap parking nearby.
Beautiful area, very relaxing and serene. This is the perfect place for a family picnic or just to walk around. If you visit at night, you can enjoy LED lighting.
Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Corpus Christi, TX - Corpus Christi Hale Jason (3DWaves): Amazing place to go birding. If you havent used a bird identification app before, I recommend downloading the Merlin app, start a Sound ID recording while walking the trails, and watch all the birds that pop up on the found species list. My wife and I did this the last time we went and there were Painted Buntings all over the preserve. Most of them were out of sight but eventually we were able to find a couple.
Viewpoint of the Flower - Corpus Christi A A: Viewpoint of the Flower, also known as Mirador de la Flor, is part of a monument dedicated to Selena Quintanilla-Perez. It is located next to her statue on Shoreline Blvd. The exhibit is FREE and open to the public. There is free street parking, so you can stop and take pictures.
Bayfront Park - Corpus Christi Soghomon: The wonderful view of the ocean makes this a perfect place to cool down on a hot summer’s day. The water looks clean and refreshing from the shore edge and the sea gulls sing their victory songs for all who listen
Artesian Park - Corpus Christi Pam Garza with P AND L PET TREATS PLUS MORE: We loved it there for the artwalk cant wait to do it again next month. Everyone was really nice. Thank u for all the love and support for our business and others too
The Pilings - Corpus Christi Kidd Jen: We just camped here for 2 nights in late Oct. in our 33’ travel trailer. Not too crowded, at night we were the ONLY campers for MILES!!
This is a Super nice beach, however there were too many inconsiderate drivers (mainly JEEP peeps) who refused to obey the 15 MPH signs, speeding so fast just a few feet beside our camper! Even though the beach is HUGE & sooo WIDE!!
We have 3 small dogs & have our dog fence that’s like a mini yard, so it sticks out about 10 feet or so. At night we had to put solar lights on the outer corners so the idiots speeding so close to us wouldn’t take us out!
Next time we will bring traffic cones to hopefully deter them from driving so dang CLOSE to us! Not only is it dangerous, but just flat out rude, as it spits up sand & dust right in our faces, etc.
Other than that, we highly recommend camping here!
Also- we found this area accidentally, after signing in at the North Beach entrance & driving past & thru these pilings. It is free to camp, just sign in at the self checkin hut like we did. Several cops passed us over the 2 days & none said anything but waved hello, so guess that’s a good indication that it’s kosher! :)
Ropes Park - Corpus Christi April Perez: The beauty of Gods creation as He spoke to the sea and land for they obeyed His voice. Just in awe of His beauty! My dog wanted to be in the picture as well!
