Nasher Sculpture Center - Dallas (TX)

5 /5 Sophie Crash: The lovely Nasher Sculpture Center in the Dallas Arts District hosts their “Til Midnight” event once a month between March and October. It’s free entry to the gallery and the sculpture center, live music, and a family-friendly movie. The museum usually closes at 5. I have been dozens of times and seen a lot of cool stuff here. The gallery always rotates so there is something new to see! The docents are very nice!

4 /5 Nick DeMarco: The Nasher Sculpture Center is a lovely, peaceful spot in the heart of Dallas—perfect for a quiet stroll among some cool and unique sculptures. The outdoor sculpture garden is definitely the highlight: its beautifully maintained, serene, and a great place to take your time and soak in the art. That said, the indoor spaces felt a bit sparse during my visit, and the overall size of the center is on the smaller side. The admission price feels fair given the experience, but don’t expect to spend hours here. Still, it’s a great stop if you enjoy sculpture and want a relaxing cultural break downtown.

4 /5 Tesla Silva: For only $10, I would consider it to be comparable to the entry fee. The sculpture center is very small with few exhibits. It was my first time, and while it was beautiful (especially the courtyard) I was slightly underwhelmed. This would be a wonderful place to picnic, have down time, meditate, read, etc. but I guess I expected many more installations. One of the large rooms was closed for exhibition set up, so maybe I’ll try again once they have more to see.

5 /5 Shelley Biemans: Many organizations came together for the Sensory-Friendly Family Fun: Space Explorers program this Saturday from 9-11. Thanks so much to all of the volunteers. Everyone did a great job from the parking attendants, security guards, staff check-in and of course the individual booth workers. My son especially liked the Art Battle Bots and Sensory Haven activities.

3 /5 HB D: You may be disappointed if you have experienced other larger sculpture gardens in the nation. This garden is beautiful, but its more like the backyard of larger estate than sculpture garden. There were very few sculptures in the garden, and the interior space only had 3 pieces. Its free on the first Saturday of the month.
