3 /5 Mark Baland: Once I got a private room, my experience was pleasant. However, at the time that I showed up, the hospital was unusually busy. They were overbooked and understaffed. The employees were polite, attentive, and helpful, but the vitals monitors (mine and those of others) were infuriatingly loud and persistent, having a war of disjointed beeps due to connection issues, movement, etc. The beds in private rooms are supportive and comfortable, but the beds in the triage area were very painful to me. My weight was balanced on my tailbone and lower back on a metal pole under the mattress with what felt like a small flat platform. After about 12 hours, I was having to shift from side to side every few minutes to withstand the discomfort…
