5 /5 Nate Church: Beautiful fountain. Enjoyable to see while driving or running/walking on a nearby path. It is very difficult to get it close as you have to cross traffic in a roundabout to get there. There are also no crosswalks to get right up to it, which makes timing walking across the street difficult. However, if you do want to get up to it, it is a beautiful area for some really cool shots. Whether you were taking pictures with people in front of the fountain, the background buildings, or just the pretty clouds and the picturesque Hermann Park in the background, this is a great place for photography. It’s also quite refreshing to hear the soothing sounds of the water fountain as you are running in the nearby areas. This is likely not a spot that you will see on purpose, but will drive by and recognize it.

Brenda Ramirez: It’s okay, but I expected more It’s a decent spot for a quick outing with kids, but honestly, it left me wanting more. Not all of the staff were friendly, and overall it felt like the experience lacked energy and excitement. The entire walkthrough took about 15 minutes, which felt pretty short. I wish there were more interactive areas or activities to make it more engaging. It’s fine to visit once, but I wouldn’t rush back.

Waugh Drive Bat Colony - Houston

Heather S.: I followed previous reviewers advice and parked at Whole Foods and walked. It was good advise, as theres no other parking as close, as far as I could tell. Theres a sidewalk, but it isnt smooth, so if youre using a wheelchair youll have trouble. It was really cool to see the bats, and I think the best view was from the bridge itself because you can see them in the distance as well as exiting from under the bridge.

Armand Bayou Nature Center - Pasadena

Amy Rose: A hidden gem of the Clear Lake area! Well maintained for decades, this is a wonderful place to visit if you enjoy trail walking. But walking in the forest isnt all it has to offer- theres different buildings that host various animals, some featuring educational or recreational events at times, and throughout the preserve are wooden observation areas where you can view swamps (and possibly spot an alligator in the water!), bison in beautiful prairies, and you might even find a cute Armadillo on the trails! Its very safe here, but if you have children please be attentive as there can be snakes on the trails (I personally run into Armadillos more than them, fortunately!)

Eleanor Tinsley Park - Houston

Jason Morgan: Very nice place to chill on the grass and have a beautiful view of the Skyline of Houston. However, be aware of the sprinklers that go off in sections around 9-10 pm YOU WILL GET WET IF YOUR NOT PREPARED FOR IT. But we just laid in the sprinklers. They did have some scooter rentals that showed up in box trucks and you can rent to ride around. That was pretty cool also. I do plan on going back as I found it to be peaceful and relaxing.

Challenger Seven Memorial Park - Webster

humna alam: Challenger Seven Memorial Park near NASA is such a fun and peaceful place to visit, especially if you love being outside. The trails are really pretty and easy to walk, with parts that go through quiet woods and over boardwalks where you can see birds, turtles, and sometimes even deer. There’s a nice playground for kids, open fields to run around, and places to have a picnic or fish by the water. It feels calm and a little like an escape from the city. Some areas are being renovated this year, but it’s still totally worth checking out, and it’s only going to get better. (Theres current construction which means the parks are closed and will open with better improvments soon! Cant wait!
