Auto Care Unlimited - Houston Joshua Torres: If you’re thinking about getting work done here, I’d recommend going somewhere else. I’m really disappointed with how things turned out, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same experience.
I came in this month (04/2025) because my car was making a squeaking noise in reverse. I figured it was time to replace the belt. I’d been here before and trusted them, so I didn’t expect anything shady.
They told me the issue was my front brakes and that the rear needed cleaning — no mention of the belt. I went along with it, paid nearly $600, and the noise stopped. At first, I was just relieved the issue was fixed.
But later I found out they had replaced the belt — the actual problem — which is a job that shouldn’t have cost more than $100. Instead of being upfront, they padded the bill with unnecessary brake work.
That really hurt my trust. If they’d just told me the truth, I would’ve come back every time I needed help. I liked them and wanted to support their business, but I can’t recommend a place that takes advantage of people.
Please be careful — I’d hate for someone else to be misled the way I was.
