Ignacio Valdes: Built in 1877 by Irish Americans and raised 5 feet after the 1900 storm, St. Patricks is an impressive Catholic Gothic church in Galveston, Texas. The interior and exterior is magnificent. The congregation is friendly and has good energy. The church for some reason reminds me of Christmas no matter what time of the year I go. A remarkable place to go to mass and experience the holy Eucharist.

The Bishops Palace (currently under renovations) is across the street on one side of Sacred Heart Church, and across a little street on the other side of the Church there is a tiny park with a white picket fence around it that has a brick path in the shape of a Rosary that circles around a shrine of the Blessed Mother Mary. Theres nothing else but a bench in the little park. It was peaceful and nice to see in addition to the Church and Palace.

Antioch Community Church is a part of a movement of church plants all over America, I went to my first one in College Station when I was in university and have loved Antioch since joining. This church really carries the heart of God for the lost, is laser focused on Jesus, knowing Him more, and his heart to see the great commission fulfilled.
