Ive been really debating whether to post this or not but after 28 years a service writer/ service manager in the automotive service industry... I have never ever in my life had such a horrible experience as I had at this repair shop.. from them NEVER ONCE calling to get my pre-authorization for needed repairs.. to them telling me my car was finished two to three times and me picking it up each time only to be stranded each time with the exact same problem that I communicated very well that it needed to go in for...then calling me in the end to tell me it was done and saying I owed $1,000 total... this is on a $300 car.. had I known in advance what it was going to cost to replace parts and labor.. I def.would have declined and went and put that money down on a new vehicle..(which it is the LAW, that pre-authorization needed to be given by the customer in writing or verbal with exact times and notes logged,in order to proceed in a repair SHOP) IN ADDITION TO ALL OF THIS AND HIM FINALLY GETTING DONE WITH THE CAR.. after lengthy call with my son.. MY SON HAD TO INTERVENE WHO IS A POLICE OFFICER FROM COLORADO WHEN HE CALLED HE SPENT SOME TIME ON THE PHONE WITH , JOSEPH, THE OWNER, WHILE JOSEPH Drops F-BOMBS ,yelling and cussing, at MY SON LIKE CRAZY AND HIM LYING AND SAYING that he told me WHAT THE ESTIMATE/COST WAS PRIOR TO .( The whole conversation was recorded in case we had to go to court )MY SON WAS FINALLY ABLE TO CALM THE GUY DOWN AND TRY TO HELP HIM CONFIRM/FINISH WITH THE overall run-through of DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIRS OVER THE PHONE .. (my son used to be a Certified mechanic before police officer).. ONE OF THE THINGs I WANT TO ADD IS THE WIFE THAT IS IN THE OFFICE WAS THE MOST UNFRIENDLY ALMOST SEEMINGLY JEALOUS RUDE PERSON IVE EVER DEALT WITH IN ANNNY FRONT OFFICE.. EVEN THE 2 different GIRLS THAT HAD TO GIVE ME RIDES TO GET MY CAR AND DROP IT OFF THEY EVEN WERE APPALLED AT THE LACK OF FRIENDLINESS /RUDENESS AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE..SO in the end, we got them to write up their parts/ labor warranty on the Bill.. for us, but I will definitely NOT be taking it back there for ANY warranty work or any other service work AND I WILL WARN ALL OTHERS NOT TO TAKE IT THERE JUST LIKE I WAS ADVISED, AFTER THE FACT THAT I FOUND THEM ,THAT I had MADE THE WRONG CHOICE TO GO TO THEM..told to me BY MANY PEOPLE IN THE AREA WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM WTH HUNT.. (I was new in this town and I didnt know who to take it to to begin with) Good news is that i believe I have found a good local repair shop NOW that Ive brought to once since the experience at Hunts.. and they have done me right .. VERY HONEST THOROUGH PROFESSIONAL AND FAIR PRICES.THEY GOT ME IN QUICKLY , told me what they found was wrong, what the cost was going to be and got my authorization to move forward..AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TOP NOTCH .
So Im looking forward to doing business with them INSTEAD. LIKE THE SAYING GOES PEOPLE CREATE THEIR OWN COMPETITION .
