1 /5 王黎丽: I visited this dentist, I didnt know my insurance doesnt cover fully. Before I taking the X-RAYs, I kept asking the lady, can you make sure that my insurance can cover it, I think she went to the front desk several times, but no clear answer, she said "no matter what, you need to take X-rays first, the dentist needs to look at the pictures". OK, then I took the picture without knowing clearly whether my insurance cover. My wisdom teeth slot was sticking some food, I couldnt floss out, so it was hurting on both sides wisdom teeth area. After the dentist checked, he even didnt help me get the food out on both sides to release my pain at that moment, instead, telling me to make an appointment for cleaning. Then I received the bill, my insurance doesnt fully cover, I had to pay $108 out of pocket (they give 10% discount for cash payment, so almost $98, still a lot). They charged $72 for just reading the X-ray pictures, this has bever been happened in my and my moms previous several dentists. X-ray is paid, am I supposed to read X-ray pictures by myself? 99% of the dentist including the reading in the X-ray charges, they are the 1%. Even there is lots of places do free initial evaluation, such as Aspen dental. So I spent this $98 for nothing, It was a very simply issue, Only need to take the food out, finally I floss them out by myself, a hard try. If you have your insurance cover everything, sure, who cares how much they charge. But when you look into the items they charge, ridiculous, insurance company will have bargain power with these dentists, we dont have. Find a nice responsible dentist is hard, Good luck!
