5 /5 Nathasha Wijesinghe: The House of Sugar is an art house constructed by Rufino Loya Rivas as a tribute to the city of El Paso. It was created between 1973 and 1998. It contains ornate statues and very detailed column designs featuring folk arts. You can visit this place anytime, the gate was close when we go there it was a public holiday. not sure what times we can go in, but I saw reviews saying we need a reservation to go in, something worth trying Definitely a unique place to see

3 /5 Nicole Oey: Kinda surprised its in the middle of the neighborhood, literally beside the highway road. You have to park on the side road, in front of peoples house. Somewhat stands out. Cant really see the inside. Looks a little creepy after awhile but definitely a unique one. No need to pay for anything, no waiting. Cute writings from the creator all around the house.

Sol Lopez: We had a fantastic time, and loved seeing many of the same rides as 20 yrs ago. The staff is well trained and friendly. The water was cool and clean. The bathrooms/dressing rooms were clean. It was really fun for the whole family! My one concern is having the extra costs for parking and for picnic tables. There should also not be a rental fee for the tubes as they should be included in the admission fees. The cost of getting a cabana is outrageous. Such high costs may prevent low income families from enjoying this special hot desert water retreat which should be accessible to all. Thank you.

El Paso Tin Mines - El Paso

Andrey Solovyev: The trail itself is not difficult, with nice views of the city, mountains, and yuccas, but the highlight is of course the old tin mines. The end of the AllTrail route is not the entrance to the mines. As you climb the mountain, you will pass metal grates on the left. The first entrance is behind the bottom (left) grate. Once you get under the grate, you will see the metal railings and the entrance to the tunnel. To find the second entrance, follow the wooden steps in the ground down the slope and soon you will come to a small door. You have to crawl to get inside, but the tunnels themselves are quite high. At 5 ft 9 in, my brother was able to stand and walk freely most of the time. There were no truly claustrophobic sections. The tunnels are dark, dusty, and have sharp rocks on the floor, so bring flashlights or headlamps and sturdy boots. The tunnels aren’t very long, and while there are a few forks, it’s not a maze in which one can get lost. It took us a total of 3 hours to get there, explore the mines, and return back to the car. On a weekday morning in May, we encountered only one mountain biker. We paid the fee ($5 per person) in cash using an envelope at the trailhead at Chuck Heinrich Memorial Park, but we could have paid it online and written the reservation number on a permit.
