5 /5 BethAnne: Quaint trails, trees and historical markers. The Vietnam memorial placard and tomb holding the memorabilia that displayed at Bush Library when the mobile Vietnam memorial came through is quite warming. Just wish theyd correct the type-o from whos to whose, thats disturbing. And as others have stated in reviews, the sprinklers have oversaturated the lawns making it nearly impassable to get to the Vietnam placard near the flagpole. No restrooms. However, when there are events held here, porta-potties are brought in. Parking along the street, just careful when passengers open their doors, may get stuck in the sloped grass mounds along the edge of the street.

Constantly maintained by the city and great for all sorts of events.The best one of the year so far has been the Independence Day celebration - antique car show, Boy Scouts, hot dogs, lemonade - even the gazebo had patriotic bunting around it!

Its a really good spot for reading, walking, tossing a frisbee, etc. It does not have a playground, so if youre looking for that type of park then Heritage isnt for you. But if you just want some space to be outside away from the hustle and bustle, its a great spot :)

5 /5 Dale L. Schafer: The 2021 July 4th celebration was excellent this year. Back again was the free watermelon booth and the garden club booth give-a-way plants and other interesting booths. Overall, a nice 4th celebration in this neighborhood park featuring the usual parade put on by families with bikes, skates, wagons, and pets through Heritage Park.

Amy Gu: I came from out of town. Memorial park in my neighborhood has just one monument. So I was thoroughly impressed when visited this little gem. It has so many sculptures throughout the park with clear descriptions on each war era. One can learn a lot and have full appreciation for the veterans.

Abrar Khan: Beautiful Park, But Safety and Hostility Are Serious Concerns Lick Creek Park is a beautiful place with great trails and scenery — no doubt about that. But unfortunately, the experience is overshadowed by a hostile atmosphere toward certain parkgoers and a complete lack of security measures. I had a disturbing incident where my vehicle window was smashed in broad daylight, and items were stolen — all within an hour. There are no visible security cameras, no signage warning about theft, and no clear protocol for preventing or addressing these types of incidents. What’s worse, the tension and judgment from nearby visitors and lack of support from park staff made the entire experience feel unsafe and unwelcoming. This park has so much potential, but until there’s a real investment in basic safety and community respect, I can’t recommend it.

Tadesse Fikre Teferra: This is one of the most amazing outdoor attractions in the city of College Station. It is probably the only with the longest working and running trails in town with so many unique features. It has a big amphitheater stage in water and an elevated field facing it. There are play grounds for children and areas designated for food trucks on events. The park also has parking spots at the east and south Entrance sides. The creak and small pond around the amphitheater have turtles and and other creatures that makes the site attractive. There are also jungle gyms and rest rooms by the park. Water fountain and power outlets are available at fairly close range.

NIKE: Its actually like the nicest park in town. Real quite, super nice playground that is completely shaded. Wish i was still a kid lol.

Central Park is stocked with catfish and freshwater Fishing Stamp for your kiddos that are older than 17. If you are single wanted to have a picnic the lawn is well taken care of for you to enjoy with your date.

Doug McMurray: This park is pretty basic, but it gets the job done. Acting as both a flood control area and a greenbelt, theres plenty of greenery. Its connected to the city trail system, so if youre looking for a place to walk, its a good starting point. If you head in the direction of Creek View Park, youll connect to the official Lick Creek Greenway Trail. Its got a decent covered playground for the kids and a couple of boardwalk bridges, one of which is relatively long and winds across some of the streams, through the woods for a little serenity.
