Heather McSomethingorother: They were very welcoming and the majority seemed to be in love with Jesus. The pastor reminded me (at least on that day) of a Pentacostal pastor in the things he said. He definitely still has a lot of religious doctrine in his beliefs, and that is why he got a 4 star review instead of 5. I have read the Bible 32 times. Some of what he said came out of Pentacostal doctrine and not the Bible.
Quitman Church of Christ - Quitman
Susan Smith: Thats our second church home when we go to the lake our home away from home. Everybody is as sweet as can be.
Church at The Crossing - Aledo
CHAD ALLEN: Great congregation with solid biblical teaching.

Billy The Kid: The pastor, Joel, is a great orator…but that’s all he is…an orator. The church itself does good in the community and beyond, but the pastor is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He does not care about the members that don’t constantly pat him on the back telling him he’s doing a great job or donate a lot of money to the church. He is a homophobic, xenophobic, person that is narcissistic to the point of being sickening. When I say he is an orator, that’s what I mean. He is more a motivational speaker than a pastor. Here is an overview of every sermon he “preaches”… I am a Marine…I don’t care what you think, you’re not going to change my mind (and he proudly states that), and some motivational speech with Bible verses thrown in to make it “Biblical”. Joel likes to cherry pick verses, and take verses out of context, ignoring the historical/cultural context surrounding the verses in a veiled attempt to make them relevant. Joel is leading the “church”, which ironically is filled with hypochristians, down the wrong path…leading them away from the Christian principles Jesus taught and the Apostles preached.
