Basketball hoops, I didn’t see the large ramps someone said they were removed, bummer they should have kept both. It also has a little trail around the park, will be back
Lindsey Park - Tyler sarah reaves: I really love to go here hiking! I love that there is a really long bridge in the woods. Everyone seems really nice when Im family comes.
Southside Park - Tyler Melanie Kirchmeier: I took my 2 year old grandson to Southside Park while visiting Tyler. We played and played. Such a fun, beautiful, and well maintained park. There are plenty of play scapes for all ages. Partial fencing keeps the little ones safe and creates boundaries while exploring.
Windsor Grove Park - Tyler Grant DeRocher: Not much to see. Paved for a short distance on one end then no real path. Mostly scraggly weeds and dust.
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History - Fort Worth Dana Ruaro: Great museum for all ages! The exhibits are fun and hands-on, especially the DinoDig and energy lab — perfect for kids. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff was really friendly. It felt a little overpriced for the size, but it’s still a solid half-day activity if youre in the Cultural District. Worth a visit, just don’t expect to spend the whole day there.
Fort Worth Stockyards - paul warren: All I can say about the rodeo is OUTSTANDING.
The entire experience was fantastic. Everyone so helpful. The show was incredible. The food kiosk had plenty to offer , I would suggest getting food before you sit down as its gets very busy.

Fort Worth Zoo - Fort Worth Blayz Brooks: One of the better zoos I’ve visited in Texas! The Fort Worth Zoo has a great layout, a wide range of animals, and some standout exhibits—especially the elephant exhibit, which is one of the most thoughtfully designed I’ve seen. You can get surprisingly close, and the space they have to roam is impressive.
I went on a Wednesday, which is Half-Price Day—only $10 for adults, which is a great value. Just keep in mind, this also means the zoo is packed with school field trips. There were dozens of school buses and crowds of kids throughout the park. It’s still doable, but if youre looking for a quiet experience, you might want to choose a different day.
There’s a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes. The paths are shaded in many areas, and there are plenty of places to sit, grab drinks, or stop for snacks. They also have misters set up in a few places, which was a nice touch in the heat.
Parking is $5 and there’s a large lot with plenty of space, even on busy days. Entry was smooth and well organized, and the staff were friendly.
Overall, Fort Worth Zoo is worth a visit, especially for families or animal lovers. Just time your visit carefully if you want to avoid big crowds.

We had an unforgettable time exploring the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens! The koi fish were everywhere, adding a serene touch to the already stunning surroundings. The beautiful scenery and thoughtful decor throughout the area created such a peaceful and breathtaking atmosphere. It was a truly relaxing experience, and we cant wait to return when everything is in bloom. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful gem!
Fort Worth Water Gardens - Fort Worth Blayz Brooks: Cool spot to check out if youre in downtown Fort Worth. The Water Gardens are a mix of fountains and modern concrete design definitely a different vibe from your typical city park. The main waterfall area is fun to walk down into, and there’s a quiet pool if you just want to sit and chill for a bit.
Its free, open to the public, and not usually too crowded. Not a place I’d go way out of my way for, but a nice stop if you’re already nearby or looking for a peaceful break in the city.
