1 /5 Alyssa Pylant: It had been a while since I’d been to the dentist, and I was hoping to find a place where I could establish care and feel comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel that here.
One thing that made me uncomfortable was when the provider asked questions about a personal health condition unrelated to my dental care. It felt like a boundary was crossed.
Another concern was the experience of having over 30 photos taken of my teeth and then going through them one by one, while the provider pointed out imperfections in each tooth. I was asked if I drank well water due to the color of one tooth, and at one point, the provider made a sound of dismay while examining my gums, which made me feel self-conscious and uneasy.
On top of that, I felt pressured to make a decision about my treatment plan before I was ready. I left the office feeling anxious and upset.
I’m a little nervous to post this after reading how the business has responded to other reviews. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Everyone deserves to feel respected and safe when seeking care.
