5 /5 ntexas100: Im a grandparent with grandchildren who attended the school. I have no idea who is on the school board and personally dont know any of the teachers. Before you make an EMOTIONAL judgement on what happened to the school you need to know all of the facts. Two facts both sides will agree to. Fact one, the issues between the school and its teachers started last year. Seems to me both parties had time to work out the issues. Fact two, the teachers were not fired they all RESIGNED at the same time! Im not going to state my opinion on why they all quit, because it doesnt matter now. The fact cannot not be rebutted. The teachers quit. This caught the pastor and school board by surprise since it was sudden. The school board had the budget to continue the school for several years. Future plans, according to the school board was to add more grades. When the teachers quit, the school board had no choice but to close the school since there wasnt enough time to find new faculty and teachers. Apparently, they did their best to get the word out as soon as possible in order to let parents know. Its sad to see both sides upset and crying about the situation. The children AND parents suffered the most, but the teachers apparently didnt think about that when they turned in their resignation letters.
