1 /5 Pipetwow !: As a homosexual woman with MY girlfriend AND my family, I did NOT feel welcomed by anyone. I actually felt the opposite, my family and I felt targeted the whole time. This was not a church but a cult. I normally feel welcome in places such as these, but Ive never seen a church give you a Starbucks gift card for "being a new member", that seems fully unethical on many different levels. The pastor Joe couldnt pastor, Ive never felt more pushed away from god before now. Pastor Joe put his own political and social views into Gods words, which when youre a true Christian- you would know its not about what you or anyone else thinks but God himself. It was sick watching this man try to say therapy was not what you need, but only God. The people I know that are closest to God need therapy, even other assistance through medication and things similar. And wrongly accusing "millennials" of being so FAR from God, this was incredibly generalizing and hurtful to my family which do in fact believe in God. This narrative that theyve pushed on to unsuspecting children and adults is so disheartening.
