Abe Froman: After 3 yrs. and multiple visits, I was given an ultimatum today. Apparently, Insurance did not pay 1 bill in 2021 and I was told to pay or find a new Dr. Ive paid every bill Ive ever received from Freestone, this was the first time Id ever heard about this particular bill. They told me the statute of limitations had run out for Insurance and I was to pay immediately or find a new doctor. I will never be back to this location and you can choke on it! Ill drive 150 miles out of my way (one way) just to never have to come here again. I just wish the bill was worth more than $200. Im disabled and Im Medicare and this is how you treat people.

He was thriving when he left there due to the care of the staff. My children have also had a wonderful experience with the nurses in the er. I definitely recommend!!!

Margarita Lujan: Thank you Devon RN for coming in quickly assessing my sons issue letting us know what would be done. Thank you Dr. Singh for coming in quickly examining my sons infected finger and taking care of the issue right away! You answered all of our questions and was very helpful on the steps to take care of issue. I give these 2 medical professionals a 5 star!! Thats the kind of service a patient needs when they come into an ER.
    John Sealy Hospital - Galveston

Merari Ramirez: I was sent here by my OB and the drs here failed to diagnose me with preeclampsia after I had so many symptoms (excessive swelling, protein in urine, elevated blood pressure, etc) they told me I just had high blood pressure and sent me home. 14 days later I woke up at 3am with the worst headache, wouldn’t go away with any pain meds, and a couple hours later I started losing my vision. My husband rushed home to help me and I started vomiting and losing conscious. I was rushed to the ER by ambulance and had an emergency c-section at HCA Houston Healthcare. I lost my memory for a couple days and it took a while for my blood pressure to go back to normal but HCA did a wonderful job of taking care of baby and me. They were all surprised that the drs at John Sealy didnt diagnose me with preeclampsia after all my symptoms.

Jean Messer: Five Stars are not nearly enough to rate this hospital. The doctors and care are fantastic. The nursing staff on 11B are phenomenal. They are respectful, patient, kind and I cant express enough just wonderful the are. The nurses Will, Shannon,Becky, Kevin, Youssa, and techs Chris, Rose and others made this expirence so much easier on my husband during his stay. Ive always felt nurses arent appreciated enough or paid enough but these here at Jennie Sealy absolutely deserve recognition and raises!

Sally Castaneda: This is for the families that have love ones in the prison at the Galveston Hospital: This is my story about the experience I had with this hospital and the prison regarding my beloved father. My dad had been transferred to this Hospital from prison because he had a stroke 2 yrs ago, I was contacted by them at that time and was asked to come and sign paperwork for a DNR.. I had several video visitations with him since his stroke and the prison hospital has me down as a emergency contact.. well I hadn’t been i touch with him since the end of September of 2024, so I decided to call and set up a video visitation with him on December 5 2024 which at that time I was told that they couldn’t find him, well then after being past around to several different people and calling several different #’s I was told to call back the following day on December 6 2024, so I did I called back again on December the 6,2024 which was a Friday, again I got the run around that he could be located, finally I was told I would need to call back on Monday December 9, 2024 and speak with the Chaplin, so I call back that Monday and I spoke to the Chaplain she stated that he is being transferred to a different unit and I would need to wait to set up the video visitation until they had transferred him, she told me he was okay and that she has me down as a emergency contact if anything happens to him. Well yesterday January 8,2025 I called to set up a video visitation with my dad and I was told that he has passed on October 21,2024 @ 5:19 am. They said he had already buried in the Huntsville Prison Cemetery since they didn’t have anyone down as a Emergency Contact.. This is a damn shame that a inmate has been in prison for his crime for many years he has a stroke and they call u to see if u want a DNR and you go and sign his DNR so that when he passes you can finally bring him home where his family is and when he passes they don’t even bother to call you and notify you of his passing, instead they decide to still keep him there in the Prison Cemetery. So it is like u are in prison for life and even after death they still want to keep your remains.. when I confronted them they then start to say “Oh no you didn’t talk to me” and still want to get a attitude about it, when all u have to do is to admit that you made a mistake and give your condolences and then try to see what can be done if anything to try and make things right. Now they are telling me in order to try and get my dads remains I would need to try and get a court order to exhume his remains which will cost around $12,000. Where am I supposed to to get $12,000 to correct their mistake.. I think they should at least say “We made a mistake we can see what we can do to try and exhume his remains and do the cremation so you can come pick up his remains and take him home with no cost to you” as part of them trying to make this right…

afgrab55: I have been a patient of Dr. Terry Siller for a little over 5 years. I first learned of him from a friend at work and he came highly recommended. So he was the one I chose to care for pain I was having in my right knee and he was the Doctor who eventually performed knee replacement surgery on the same. I have always been impressed with his knowledge of his profession and Quality of Care. There were other doctors here at one time, but are no longer with this clinic. Its been over five years since my knee replacement and I have experienced a normal life with it since the replacement surgery pain free! I have heard of other peoples bad experiences with other Doctors, Not Dr. Siller. He had also addressed shoulder pain for me with an injection of cortisone that took care of the pain, and I have had no pain since!! Almost three years ago we moved about two hours away from the area NE of Beaumont, Tx. A couple of months ago I twisted my left knee so severely I heard and felt a pop that hurt like someone stuck a knife in my knee joint and turned it. I made an appointment to come to the Orthopedic Clinic for Dr. Siller to look at. They X-rayed the knee before he came to the exam room to go over the X-ray. It didnt show anything broke or out of place. He did drain a good amount of fluid buildup off and gave ave me a cortisone injection. He said if it didnt feel better after a few days to let him know. By the next weekend I could hardly walk on it without the assistance of using my Cane from the prior right knee surgery. I called back and he scheduled me for an MRI and a return office visit to go over the MRI. When I returned for the MRI follow up he revealed that the MRI showed that the medial meniscus was torn away from the bone, arthritis, and a stress fracture of the femur Bone in the medial area!! We both agreed that I was more than likely looking at another knee replacement on the left leg. I wanted to give it some time to see if anything improved giving the fracture time to heal. It had been over two months and it really hasnt improved. So I came in today to talk about the knee, the continued pain, and to go ahead and schedule having the surgery per my wifes wishes and mine to get rid of this continuous pain in my knee. My wife suggested that I try to find a Doctor closer to home in the Beaumont area. Not a chance!!! Im coming back to a Doctor that I personally know will get it right!!! If you need an Orthopedic Doctor that knows his practice and is very outgoing toward his patients, is thorough, and very competent, Dr. Terry Siller is going to be your choice.
