Hairgrl Salon Galveston - Galveston Julián F. Escalante: I had been looking for a permanent hair salon after recently moving to Galveston. I am very happy I found Hairgrl Salon. I had my first appointment with Lisa 2 weeks ago, which was easily the best haircut experience I have ever had. After discussing my haircut goals, she immediately had a vision for my hair. She shared with me that above all, she sees hairstyling as an art; her philosophy shone through with how much care she gave to my hair. She answered all my questions on haircare and styling, giving me plenty of advice and options on how I should address my hair needs. Lisa treated me not only as a client, but as a friend—I look forward to returning to Hairgrl Salon when Im due for another haircut!
Beauty Bar Galveston - Galveston Annabelle Kurtz: an amazing stylist, an amazing person and fun environment. they truly do everything there so please go check it out!! prices were amazing. place is amazingly kept in a quiet little quant town. had the best time!
The Salty Blonde GTX - Galveston Haley Lunday: Lindsey is the absolute best!! I first starting going to her in 2019 and then when we made her own salon I followed her there! She is the blonde expert! When I moved to Houston I continued to commute to Galveston for her services. She has a lot of expertise and is so knowledgeable on hair color/health. I recommend Lindsey to everyone!
Island Hair Retreat - Galveston Justin Meredith: My haircut is simple. I only go once every 4-6 weeks mainly because my neck looks bad.
I went to Island Retreat on 61. Pretty chill place. Music was good. I asked how much and one lady said $18. Got into see Savanna with no wait ( 3:00 Monday). I biked there so was a little hot and sweaty, not drenched. I said “ sorry I’m a little sweaty, maybe you want to do a shampoo first?” She said “ so what are we doing with your hair today!” Completely ignoring my concern. I guess it didn’t bother her. She wasn’t very talkative which I’m usually ok with, but new to the island I could have used a LITTLE more chitchat. She seemed a little subdued. When I asked her how her day was going she said “ can’t complain “. I told her keep it long on top and shorter on the sides and back. I said sometimes I do a #2, but longer and blended is good too. I like that she did the fade with the special scissor and not just clipping the whole thing. She was done in like 10 minutes. Kind of unusual that she didn’t touch the top AT ALL! I said “ looks good, but can you just trim up the dead ends on top?” She did trim it nice, not too much. Check out was $20, and I didn’t ask about the $18. Tip $5, should have been like 3, but I work service industry. In and out no frills and reasonable prices. Oh and her booth was decorated nice!

With Valerie, it’s a completely different experience. I went from longer hair to a cute bob, and every time I walk into her salon, she nails exactly what I want. My hair looks perfect every single time!
On top of her incredible skills, Valerie and Meghan, the girl next to her create such a fun and welcoming environment. It’s always a blast to visit! Highly recommend!
