1 /5 Trudy m: Dr Chen hates a chronic pain patient taking pain meds. He said that to my face. I should never have been sent to him in the first place. Im not an addict Im a pain patient. I have early onset arthritis all over my body. 30 yrs of pain mgmt. 30 yrs of monthly UAs. I always had my pill counts right too.

5 /5 sharon barnard: Dr. Chen is incredibly knowledgeable and one of the most intelligent doctors who has helped me. He took the time to teach me about my pain and help me understand that more drugs are not in my best interest. Although Dr. Chen is very kind, I do not go to him to get sympathy. He informed me about Pain Reprocessing Therapy which teaches you to perceive pain signals sent to the brain as less threatening. PRT may help to relieve chronic pain I am very grateful to him for telling me about this. Dr. Chen is generous with his time and has exemplary communication skills. He is a a doctor worth knowing.

1 /5 Debbie Gramberg: My boyfriend was trying to get re-established after not going here for 6 months. He tried to set up an appointment to see a pain management doctor. They set him up with Dr. Chen and didn’t inform him that he’s an addiction doctor. Dr. Chen is the most incompetent doctor I’ve ever seen. Not only does he not care about the patients needs. Dr Chen doesn’t care about the patient’s pain needs at all. He doesn’t do that. He called my boyfriend a liar. When asked how long a certain medication lasted for pain he told my boyfriend it didn’t last as long as he said. How the Hell does he know. Each patient is different. Not only did he tell my boyfriend that smoking made you crave sweets. He said to drink Diet Soda which everyone knows is not true because Saccharine is bad for you. This doctor needs his license to practice taken away. I think Advanced Pain Management should tell the patient what kind of doctor they’re setting your appointment up with. We as patients have the right to be told and to refuse the appointment. Dr Chen has made it to where he can’t get medication for the pain. I hope this doctor gets the same treatment when he needs help.

Never have I ever had the worst bed side manner in my life! *** I WILL NOT be calling you for any future appointments. You KNOW how you treated me and all these other ppl with negative reviews. Dr Mark M. will hear from me and a copy to the State of your lack of medical professionalism. DR. CHEN should not be a practicing Dr in Williamson county.

I have been his patient for several years and I am very grateful for the skills and bedside manner he has always shown, his expertise in pain management is second to none. He has always looked out for my best interests as a patient and over the years my life has been greatly improved because of him and his family wonderful nurses. Thank you Dr Chen!
