1 /5 FireLight: My mother went to this church for 30 years. She had put in multiple hours of service and thousands of dollars into this place and its people. When she passed away, these people wouldn’t even pay to get her cremated. Three weeks later, I had to apply for a pauper’s burial. Once the church leaders found out the application had been accepted, they offered to pay for her services. I let them know the arrangements have already been cleared, but asked if they would donate the money to me, as I needed financial assistance to get things settled after her passing. They scoffed and said nothing else! The leaders were in a hurry to have my mother’s memorial services and wouldn’t let me schedule it. She was still in the morgue for crying out loud! Till this day, I cannot understand how they could allow a devoted member of their church family, lie in a freezer for three weeks and not lift a finger to offer assistance. This experience has exposed the true nature and character of this establishment.
