5 /5 Don Meisner: Rent Kayaks, hike endless trails, camp, or fish at this serene state park. My family and I love the park. Make sure you check out the spillway! Its super cool! The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired to be honest, and hopefully they will improve them in the near future, but regardless, we love taking the kids and dogs and getting them out in nature.

5 /5 Mallorie Barr: What a beautiful and fun state park! The hike was a little more of a challenge than some of the others near DFW, which our group appreciated. We visited on a Sunday morning and there werent as many people as we were initially expecting and generally others were respectful of letting everyone have their space. It had rained a couple of days prior, so the falls were flowing. The park rangers were friendly and provided our pups with treats. We did not camp this time, but there were plenty of day use areas with picnic tables and shade.

4 /5 B Wiggs: Really enjoyed this park, small lake, but the campsites are roomy and clean. There doesnt seem to be a lot of Lakeshore access due to cattails, but if you are looking for a hiking park with beautiful trees, this is a good option. Bathrooms could use some updating for day use, but if you are in your RV, you will like it. We visited during the holidays and they had a "meet Santa" event for the kids and it was really well put together. Overall, great experience, wish we could have stayed longer!

5 /5 Ridgeback Mix Lawlor: Poison ivy is abundant on the trails. Long sleeves and pants recommended if you’re hiking. Very scenic area. Small waterfalls along the spillway.

Destiny Arredondo: Had a blast with our group! The guides were great and Laurie’s tarot class was so informative. I can’t wait to go on the tour again. The results may not be the same next time and that’s what makes this tour so interesting! Brenda and the crew were very accommodating to our group and we never felt ill at ease or rushed through the tour. 10/10 would recommend!

Cascade Caverns - Boerne

Angela Ward: We had a wonderful experience during our visit. Our guide, Sebastian, was not only humorous but also highly knowledgeable, which greatly enhanced the tour. I was particularly impressed by how easily accessible and navigable the cavern was, and appreciated that it felt far less commercialized compared to other sites—specifically, I found this experience to be far superior to Carlsbad. I felt safe, well-informed, and that the experience was truly worth the cost. The atmosphere was relaxed, without overcrowding, and individual attention was given when questions were asked. The rock shop offered a remarkable variety of items that were genuinely worth browsing (i.e. stones) , and the opportunity to purchase a bag and pan for stones outdoors added a fun and interactive element. Overall, we had an absolute blast and will definitely be returning.

River Road Park - Boerne

james chavez: Nice park along the river. Needs a small play area for kids south of the bridge. Loved the ducks, turtles, and occasional surprise like the huge catapillar in photos. 3 snakes in between rocks and next to sidewalk did scare the ladies. They were jyst on the north side of the bridge and possibly water moccasins. I can see this place being magical with lights all over during the holidays.

Boerne City Lake Park - Boerne

Maurice Rodarte: Great lake. Water is cold and fresh most of the year and is cleaner than some of the bigger lakes like canyon and Travis. Because of the size to motorized boats are allowed so its great for kayaking, paddle boards and swimming recreationally.. Ill be going back to fish as I saw bait fish. Great place.

Kinderpark -

Jenny Borter: Update: They just installed a bathroom facility onsite and finished a few other updates. A beautiful and shaded playground on a quiet neighborhood street. There is a small parking area next to the fully fenced playground. I always love the baby swings attached to the parent swing so you can swing your baby while sitting and looking into their eyes. Too cute and two of them here. Both younger and older kids will be fully entertained with plenty of things to do. I highly recommend this special playground.
