5 /5 Kimberly: Absolutely love this place. Beautiful historic building and gorgeous grounds. Some of my favorite memories have been made sitting outside drinking wine with friends here or sitting in the cozy inside on a cold day. They let us bring our little dog and always remember us. Lots of really good wines and selections. They taught me about wine and all the different kinds. Just an all around great place. Don’t miss it!

5 /5 Emily Santos: Such a nice place to visit! The location is super convenient. The grounds are very well kept and comfortable. We visited the Tasting room/Gift shop where we had a tasting which was awesome! The Assistant winemaker was very helpful, knowledgeable and service was awesome! All the wines we tasted were great! The Winery room is super cool where you can view the different processes of wine making. I recommend stopping by!

5 /5 Danyel Ramelow: Quite possibly the best Texas wine we’ve had. Our favorites were the Viognier, Super Nero, and the Winemaker’s Choice. But, we didn’t have a bad wine there. The Petite Syrah and the Buffalo Roam were also very good. Amanda, the tasting room server, was also super friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. We bought a few bottles, will likely join the wine club, and will definitely stop here again next time we are driving through Comanche.

Scott: Great plaza with a beautiful water feature. For those interested in history there are some informative signs. Perfect scenery to compliment the memorial aspect with great structures throughout the entire area.

lvllvl9: Real quick stop while bored, not a whole lot to say about the tree. The sheriff pulled close by guess he was scared Id steal this gnarly tree. When he pulled off I stole three of thee gnarly tree.

Frank Buck Zoo - Gainesville

Michael Caponi: Very surprising zoo with a community park. $16 for me and my daughter was an extremely good deal for a zoo. The zoo is set up as a big walking circle path. All exhibits are fairly close to you so your view of the animals are excellent. Trees provide shade and it is a very clean park.

Laurie Pessetto: Went with a descendant. What a horrifying event! Fear is not a valid justification to prevent future events. The Red Stone marker argument to explain the behaviors of the townspeople didnt help. The failure to darken the carving on the stone is almost an apology, making it very hard to read.

Giant Horse Chess Piece - Gainesville

Bronwyn ST: It is a fun picture spot. But be warned, if it has rained there recently, there is seriously sticky mud around it. My kids and I named it "demon mud" because it was literally impossible to get off the bottom of their shoes. Even after trying to scrape the very sticky, clay filled, mud off with a flat rock, it was a nightmare. We had to take their shoes off before getting in the car and needed to find a hose to clean them off,many miles down the road.

Chris Ash: Such a great and cute museum! We went out on a Saturday and it was filled with so much more stuff than we were expecting! The largest collection of spurs youll ever see, military things, vehicles and furniture going back to the 1800s, and much more! And its FREE! Definitely go by if you want to do something fun on an afternoon!

Allen Parsons: Mostly the displays consist of objects, clothes and pictures of white Texas settlers for several generations back. Almost completely ignored are native populations. Mexican-American settlers and prehistoric fossil fragments also receive short shrift. Descriptions accompanying the exhibits probably haven’t been updated since the ‘50s. But enough carping. It’s easy to sit in the bleachers. It’s harder to play the game. Give the museum props for caring enough about the past to try to preserve it. It’s a foundation on which others can build.
