Rainforest Pyramid - Galveston Soney: Recommend buying the value pass one day or more in advance to save the most money. The rainforest pyramid was my favorite part of moody gardens. Everything is laid out so well and you can see everything from birds to monkeys, fish turtles and lizards. And tanks with weird insects as well. We got up close and personal with some gorgeous birbs, they just randomly landed and walked around with people. What more can you ask for.
Galveston Seawall - galveston - Galveston Kaushal Ramani: I recently took a trip from Houston to the Galveston Seawall, and it was such a great way to unwind! We arrived just in time for sunset and spent about an hour thereāwatching the sky light up with those gorgeous colors over the water was absolutely beautiful.
Thereās plenty of street-side paid parking, so finding a spot wasnāt a hassle. The beach stretches for miles, making it perfect for a relaxing stroll or just soaking in the views.
If youāre looking for a laid-back evening by the coast, Iād definitely recommend swinging by!

Get a day pass to enjoy the rides.

The Bryan Museum - Galveston Zack KC: This historical building used to be an orphanage. We came here for the Juneteenth celebration. We enjoyed the music and the museum. A lot of art and history on Galveston and Texas. Beautiful property and grounds. A must see if youre ever in Galveston.
Moody Gardens Attractions Theme Park - Galveston Adam Kovach: As a full grown adult this was fun. As an adult with nieces and nephews this was even more fun. The exhibits are well kept and accessible to see no matter how tall. Theyāve done a great job. The penguin encounter (must buy an additional ticket for) was worth every penny. You get to go behind the scenes and actually interact with the penguins they have there. It was really something great.
Galveston Railroad Museum - Galveston Andrew Toon: What a lovely Railroad Museum. For a Saturday it was not busy...but its well layed out and the range of exhibitions is great. Lady at the entrance desk was welcoming and polite and told us everything we needed to know. We managed to even ride an open caboose on a long stretch along the cruise terminals. Loved everything about this place. Ate from the concession on site. Cheap and cheerful and delicious..again super friendly staff and decent prices.
After we spent a considerable time here, it was close to the historic street cars that go around Galveston.
If you love trains, go for it...
Galveston Historic Seaport - Home of the 1877 Tall Ship ELISSA - Galveston Sarah Miller: This was such a beautifully restored ship! So much history and craftsmanship. The museum was so great too, I had family immigrate from Ireland and come in through Galveston. It was a glimpse into what their journey may have been like. I loved the fact that the ship was built in the Scotland ship yards too as other family members were Scottish as well.
