1 /5 Guest: This place was great when Billy was running it, now, not so much. Brought my vehicle in for a simple repair and they called me a week later to tell me it was ready. Left the shop and didnt even get a block down the road when the engine seized and stopped running. This happened in the middle of the intersection and luckily I was able to coast to the side of the road. Tony said it was nothing that they did and would not look into it. It ran fine until they worked on it. Poor, poor craftsmanship and even less care about their customer. Triple J Auto Repair on Westside is the place to go for honest and trustworthy results. Wish I had found them first.

5 /5 Jay Phi: I’ve had an issue with my Ford F150 since the day I bought it in 2019 The Ford dealership after 15 separate times in the shop could never fix it They replace the rear they replace the transmission multiple times and steel. The transmission made a clunking noise when taking off. I just took it to Billy’s for something unrelated, but asked him to look at it for the first time ever has been fixed and he only charge me $85 Amazing expertise, mechanical skill, and customer service excellence. The only mechanic shop I trust in Pasadena/Houston.

5 /5 Rudy Montenegro: This is my first time at this shop, and the experience makes me want to come back for every car need. First I couldn’t start my car this morning and had to get a jump, as I was driving to work I saw a little smoke coming from the engine area and stopped in immediately. I got the privilege to speak to Tony, at this point I am having a terrible day. To my surprise I was greeted as an old friend. He assured me he would get it checked out, I met the mechanic checking out my vehicle, Steve, he showed me that the battery cable snapped and the cable was burnt, that’s where the smoke was coming from. Steve said it was fixable and got to work right away. Thank you to Tony, Steve and all of Billy Lowerys for turning a terrible day into a great experience worth remembering!

1 /5 David Upton: This repair shop was the best before Billy retired. But now a new crew is in charge. Tony is the lead guy and he is dishonest. I dropped my truck off for them to diagnose a problem I suspected was a timing chain issue. Tony called me back and informed me that I did need a new timing chain kit and it would cost ~$2300 (parts/labor, less sales tax and "shop incidentals"). I decided to get a second opinion from another mechanic and when I picked up the truck, Tony charged me $65 for the diagnostics. I asked him if he had performed any diagnostics on the truck and he said no. They just listened to the truck and agreed with my assessment. I told him that his "diagnostics" fee was unfair since he had done nothing to confirm the problem. He simply pointed to the sign on the wall ($65 shop fee). I told him I would never use his shop again and he said "Im glad". That afternoon, I stopped by another shop. The lead mechanic listened to the engine and said, "Well, I cant confirm its a bad timing chain unless I briefly run the engine without the serpentine belt in place." I agreed for him to proceed and his diagnosis confirmed the timing chain was ok. The water pump pulley was bad (making noise). He quoted me $750 to replace the pump (parts/labor).. In Summary, Lowerys Automotive (with Tony calling the shots) did NOTHING to confirm the engine problem and were prepared to charge me over $2300 for a timing chain I did not need. Weve all heard the stories of mechanics/shops charging for work thats not necessary. Well, I experienced it firsthand and Im lucky I did not allow Tonys gang to work on my truck. STAY AWAY FROM LOWERYS AUTOMOTIVE
