1 /5 Blaine Brawley: I found out the hard way that this church does not practice what it preaches. My spouse and I went through premarital counseling here, expecting guidance rooted in faith, integrity, and support for marriage. Unfortunately, the moment we hit our first real struggle, the churchs response was anything but supportive. My spouse was advised—by church-affiliated individuals—to consult an attorney from within the church network, who then encouraged filing for divorce and making damaging claims against me.
What’s worse, I’ve since learned of at least five others who had nearly identical experiences through this same church. For a place that claims to uphold the sanctity of marriage and spiritual accountability, this was a deeply disillusioning and hurtful experience. Based on what I went through, I cannot in good conscience recommend this church to anyone seeking genuine spiritual guidance or community.
