Teresa Martindale: I do not have the fortune of living in Greenville and going to the church but when I am in town (visiting family) I try to make sure I go. I love how open the people are and how welcoming. Once they are introduced to someone they go out of their way to make sure you have a very loving experience. I watch the sermons online and am ALWAYS up lifted by the words that I hear and at most times it feels like they are talking directly to me. Like God made it a point for me to hear and fill my soul with His word. I can not say enough about how I feel with the church, the staff, the people that are there to truly serve our God. Thank you Mineral eights Baptist Church for all you do, I do not have the time to list everyone and everything but you have my devotion not only to the church and its family but to God himself.

Travis Carfer: Traveling today in Greenville. We took a wrong turn. Tried to turn around in a church parking lot. What a mistake I found the main pastor ready to endanger the public rather than allow us on his precious concrete. We had to back into traffic putting one of our passengers out in the road. Thank goodness we were able to stop traffic and get out of there. From my brief interaction with the person claiming to be the head pastor I did not get the impression that he was a reasonable godly man. Response to the pastors comment.Pastor why won’t you just be honest! We were not in a semi truck.! We were in a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck with an enclosed cargo trailer 36ft (the trailer was empty you would have no way of knowing this. You concrete was 100% cured.) The fact is you put me personally in danger having to stop Traffic on a 65 mph highway. I don’t appreciate your response which was clearly aimed at misleading people into thinking that we were in a semi truck. I personally prefer honesty from the pulpit! Have a blessed day pastor maybe pray for god to do a work in your life so that you can move forward with integrity and honesty sir.

Timothy Milam: Theyve sold the property, and are building a new church somewhere else. Sorry thats all I can tell you, because thats all I know. Sad actually as its located in very nice location, and if you wanted a smaller church without the larger political issues bigger churches all seem to have this used to be it. Heard they needed a larger church to increase attendance. Shame numbers arent everything when it comes to certain situations.

Melissa Nichols: We had attended another local church but after Covid and some other family care needs, we decided to search for a new church home. We started searching and visited several churches in the surrounding area. We decided to give Vansickle a try one Sunday. The first day, we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed our visit enough that we went back a second time. To our surprise everyone remembered us from the prior week, knew our names, treated us like we were family, and welcomed us in such a loving Christ-like spirit. We were amazed. After a few more visits we couldn’t help but join this amazing church. A pastor who teaches directly from God’s Word. Classes for adults, teens, children and preschool that love on you as a brother and sister. The church puts Christ in the center of all they do and if it doesn’t represent Christ well, they don’t do it. People who serve the community and each other. What a wonderful place to call home.
