Amarillo Zoo - Amarillo (TX)

4 /5 jessica fuentes: Pretty small but fun to walk around. Took an hour or so to see the whole zoo. Cant beat it for the price though. 7.50 an adult

4 /5 Mrs. Otey: Today I had my first visit to the Amarillo Zoo. We arrived an hour before closing, so there werent a lot of people, which was nice. The guy at the ticket office said it only takes 45 minutes to walk the entire zoo. They had Star Wars characters there because it is May 4th and a Star Wars theme bingo game you could play while visiting the exhibits! It was a really pleasant visit and I will be returning soon. I gave it 4 stars only because there was a lot of construction going on that kind of took away from the ambiance.

1 /5 Susan Sweetman: I understand that my expectations of what a zoo should be are probably a little higher then most seeings how I have grown up with the Denver, Houston, Asheville & Sanfransco zoos, however this place needs cleaned up something fierce! Safety for visitors, children and animals! Most animals didn’t have water on 04/16 around noon! I passed one employee on my visit and that was the extremely depressed man sitting up front at the entrance playing on his phone that refused to speak! I’m so saddened for these animals! I could do a better job for quality of life in my back yard! Whoever owns this place needs a redo! Heartbreaking!

4 /5 Sandra Gomez: This place can be found nestled in back of Thompson Park. Although the Amarillo Zoo is small in comparison to the Houston Zoo or San Antonio Zoo, it is still worth the trip. It was not crowded. It is kid friendly and affordable. Some of the enclosures were empty, but over all I enjoyed the stroll and scenic views.
