1 /5 Brandi Bourne: I called the shop on Monday morning to try to get it in for a simple job, a serpentine belt that needed changed. Should take an hour or two tops. No price up front they gotta look at it first. They were busy, couldnt get me in until Wednesday. OK, I get it, being busy is understandable. Though not having a car since Saturday was difficult. So, I set an appointment for Wednesday morning. I have the car towed in to be safe (in case the belt snapped the whole way, its had split) at 9am. No phone call, no updates so I call around 12:30, no answer. I call back at 2, since they havent called me at all. They havent even looked at the car. Wont even be able to look at it until the morning. The whole point of scheduling an appointment is to have it looked at at that time, otherwise I wouldve just dropped it off Monday. Thursday morning comes, no call. I call them, they havent looked at it. Lady on the phone sounds annoyed at this point. So, I decided to have it towed to my regular shop where I shouldve gone to begin with but didnt want to only because its harder to catch a ride that far from my job. Turns out my normal shop can do the whole job today no problem. Lesson learned. *update* my normal shop (Express Lube on N Main) literally did the whole thing and another item I asked for help with in 2 hours. I waited 4 days just for this shop to look at it...
When we got there, they had the car blocked in by another car, it hadnt even moved from where it was dropped off. I had to drive it around in the muddy grass, hoping I didnt get stuck, just to get it to where the tow guy could load it up. So all these reviews about "quick service" were not my experience. Again, I understand being busy but say up front "hey we cant get to your car for a week", rather than me completely wasting a tow. I definitely feel like they took advantage of the fact that it had been towed in as I was stuck. I had planned on finding a shop closer to where I live and work but its definitely not going to be this one. So, form your own opinion about this place but Ill definitely share my experience to help you decide.
