Bender Michael “MACB” I tried this place that was recommended by a coworker. I went after some training we had before heading back home. The outdoor seating is nice and there’s an extended part around the corner downstairs that you can see the river better. After reviewing the menu I decided to choose a small entree because I wanted to give one of the desserts a try. I chose the El Camino but without onions. The service was good and food came out quick. It came out hot and fresh and was almost too much for me to try a dessert but the cobbler option for the day was apple. I ordered the cobbler with ice cream and it was a bit bigger than I expected. It’s definitely shareable for at least 2 ppl. The cobbler was good but it was missing something. I’d go back to this place and try another dessert. I wouldn’t mind going later in the evening when the sun goes down. I’m sure it makes the atmosphere better! I’d recommend this place if you’re passing through Bastrop.

Victoria Hartman Probably the best Chili’s experience we’ve ever had! Food came out so fast, and such a great deal with the smokehouse three entrées and two sides. Perfect location, especially if you have kids because service is quick and easy and they give you lots of food. Picture is the food that was left over after we devoured the whole thing.

TheCherry RVLife We were hungry and in downtown Bastrop poring over reviews. Gracies caught our eye, not only for the overwhelming positive reviews, but also for the great atmosphere. We were not disappointed. It was a beautiful and abnormally warm winter afternoon, which made for a perfect lunch on the patio. Service was prompt and super friendly. We split a spinach salad as an appetizer. We liked it a lot - good amount of diced purple onion and bacon to add some flavor and crunch. The dressing is a little thin, but dont let that turn you off. It doesnt overwhelm the salad itself. The chicken fried steak was truly good - the steak was tender and the breading was crunchy and tasty. Good gravy. The french fries were better than most places. Kinda disappointed with the green beans - under seasoned and uninspired - they really needed a dash of salt and bacon fat. The strip steak was cooked exactly to order, which we appreciated. The garlic mashed potatoes were good, but seemed more like a casserole. The broccoli could have benefited from some red pepper flakes, butter, and lemon juice. Prices were reasonable. The kitchen was efficient at getting the food out quickly and all hot on the plate.

Becca Beckwith Ive only eaten here the once so far and I did have a shrimp cocktail. While the shrimp and the vegetables seem to be fresh It was just kind of boring. If theres a next time Ill have to be specific about adding more jalapeno pieces. They do, however, have Negras Modelo, which is my go-to generic beer so that was a good thing. Now we get down to the service.... For some reason those five six or seven female wait staff seem to be preoccupied with each other instead of with their clients. I even waved for two full minutes while those girls chatted on the other side of the room and then I finally called to tell them that I needed their attention. You should have seen that girl turn around and look at me after she picked up the phone. I was still waving when she looked at me. Ill be doggoned if they were going to make me shout across the restaurant Those girls need some training in customer service and theyll get better tips.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our lunch immensely while staying in Bastrop this past weekend.Been a while since Ive had Southside, unfortunately moved away from this part of Texas. 5/5! Still delicious as ever, even years later! Thank yall for a great meal.

Yasseen Albubsayry Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant is my go-to for amazing Mexican food! The XL burrito is huge, packed with flavor, and easily one of the best I’ve had—it’s definitely worth trying if you’re hungry. The staff is friendly, prices are fair, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. Always a great experience here!

Ar G I was originally headed to another restaurant but it was closing up and thank goodness it did because I wouldnt have happened upon this amazing restaurant. This was my first time here and if I could rate it a 6 out of 5 I would! The main words here are FRESH and QUALITY. I started with the Fried Mozzarella sticks and you could tell they were not pulled from a box. I eat them every time I try an Italian restaurant because thats a good indicator of how the food is going to be. They were lightly breaded and perfectly cooked. The marinara they come with had a pinkish hue, not the same deep red kind you get from SYSCO, so I knew it was homemade and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan, another basic staple to compare restaurants. Both had a great amount of cheese without swimming in oil. The chicken was lightly breaded and tender. Both used the same amazing marinara. When I was eating I felt like I was eating clean, meaning no extra additives to make it taste better, it already tasted fantastic. The entrees came with soup or salad, we got the tossed salad. These salads were GREEEEN...in December, I tried to find a brown or white piece but nope, all prime lettuce. The salad dressings tasted homemade as well. I really couldnt eat it all but I HAD to have a piece of Tiramasu...no surprise it was soooo good! The ambiance, decor and level of cleanliness is right in line with the quality of the food. Now my server, Danielle, she was super attentive without being overbearing always anticipating my needs. When she brought my iced tea she brought a lemon and a spoon, its a little thing but you dont know how often I go out and I get just the glass and have to wait until the meal comes before the server comes back so I can even ask for it. When I was leaving I asked for the manager and out from the kitchen comes one of the family of this family owned business. He said that they make sure the kitchen is putting out high quality food all the time because they stay in the kitchen, and it shows. The price point is very competitive and the quantities are huge. Im so glad that other restaurant was shutting down for the day because I wouldnt have discovered my FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Do yourself a favor and go here sooner rather than later!

kasey Kelso I ordered the "coco roll" and she had the shrimp tempura roll. Both were excellent. We also ordered the dumplings but they use a different name here. We had those fried. They brought out this dessert (fried) with chocolate in the center. Everything was fantastic. The restaurant is nice

Jennifer Miles Went by today after church. It was really busy but service was great and I received my food quickly. The owner was very personable with each customer and kept everything flowing well. The dining room was clean and it was a very nice environment. I just moved here and I will definitely frequent this restaurant.
