2 /5 Dasha Van Stell: XOXO Dining Room in Dallas definitely has the vibe and the potential. The pink aesthetic and Instagram-worthy photo spots are fun and eye-catching, and I can see why people are drawn to it. However, the experience didn’t live up to the visuals.
You can already notice interior wear and tear, especially in the bathrooms, which were poorly maintained and took away from the overall atmosphere. For the price point, I expected a much higher standard. The food was just okay—not bad, but far from memorable—and certainly not worth the premium pricing. The drinks were decent as well, but again, not worth what you’re paying.
What surprised me most is that the restaurant advertises being open until 2 AM, but the kitchen actually closes at 9 PM. That’s a major detail guests should know ahead of time.
Overall, I’m giving this place 2 stars. It has great potential, but it needs significant updates, better maintenance, and pricing that matches the quality of the experience.
