5 /5 Hoss Pratt: Don’t let the appearance fool you—Tiny Schnitzel Haus in Pipe Creek, TX, may look like a modest camper trailer with a simple enclosed eating area, but the food is absolutely incredible.
We stumbled across this place by chance, and it ended up being one of the best German meals we’ve ever had. The schnitzel was crispy and tender, the sides were authentic and full of flavor, and the portions were generous. It felt like a true homemade meal, the kind you’d expect from a German grandmother’s kitchen.
The owner was there when we visited, and she was super nice and incredibly friendly. You can tell she puts her heart into every dish, and it really adds to the charm and warmth of the whole experience.
This place is a true hidden gem. Skip the chain restaurants, make the drive, and treat yourself. You’ll be glad you did—and like us, you’ll definitely be back.
