The Loft Tavern - Whitewright (TX)

3 /5 Tabetha Carter: The food was good today, but the service was lacking and there were flies everywhere - or at least hovering around our table and they wouldnt leave us alone. I dont think our server smiled a single time and he wasnt friendly at all. Usually the service is pretty good, albeit slow. Update 9/23: the service was friendly this time but REALLY slow. We were the only diners and no one came in to pick up food and it still took 45 minutes to get our one pizza. The pizza we ordered wasnt very good and the flies were so annoying we could barely eat in between batting away the flies. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FLIES!!

5 /5 Kay Vaughan: So tonight we tried The Loft in Whitewright. Such a fun place. We sat at the bar, it was crowded, but great service. We were at shift change and they didnt skip a beat on service. We had the Pick 3 appetizer, then pizza. All was good and it was a fun atmosphere. Cotton introduced himself as the new General Manager and he has a great personality and they all want you to be satisfied with your visit. We will be back.

5 /5 Carver Nicholas (Bombardicus): I only had a to go order and I was beyond swept away. The service was easy and friendly. The staff made you feel at home just waiting on a to-go box. I got the classic Cheeseburger basket and the Farmhouse pizza. My wife raved about the cheeseburger about how it was the best one around. I absolutely loved the pizza and will undoubtedly be having it again. My wife (who hates pizza) tried and was shocked by how delicious the pizza was. We will be back very soon.

The interior has been completely refreshed, and the new finish looks amazing. Modern, clean, and still cozy. It really elevates the whole experience while keeping the charm that makes The Loft feel like a local favorite. The new owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about the place and the people who walk through the door. That personal touch goes a long way and makes the atmosphere even better than before. While calzones are no longer on the menu, they’ve added paninis — and they are **awesome**. Perfectly pressed, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering. The menu changes feel thoughtful and fresh, and it’s clear a lot of care has gone into making everything top-notch. The Loft continues to be a standout spot in Whitewright, and it’s exciting to see it thriving with new energy and care behind it. If you haven’t stopped by since the change in ownership, it’s absolutely worth a visit — highly recommended!
