4 /5 Licia: Visited for: dinner date
A man invited me here for dinner, and I’ll be honest I hate flower walls. They usually signal “we’re prioritizing the vibe over the food.” Thankfully, that wasn’t entirely the case here.
The service was truly top tier. Our server was attentive and kind, and that matters, especially because there is an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill (not my favorite practice, and when it’s mandatory I don’t add extra, little rebel move of mine).
We ordered:
BBQ wings
half roasted chicken
The BBQ wings were perfect definitely Carolina style barbecue, sweet with tang. I’d actually recommend calling that out on the menu because it was a nice surprise. The only downside was timing: the wings came out with our entrées instead of before. We were told the kitchen was backed up, but the restaurant didn’t seem very busy, we walked in with no reservation and were seated immediately.
The half roasted chicken was solid, and the drinks were just okay, not bad, just not memorable. I ordered an Espresso Martini & a Sand & Storm or something like that.
Overall, it’s a beautiful restaurant with strong service and decent food. I’d come back, more likely for happy hour than a full dinner… and probably if someone else was picking up the tab.
Verdict: top tier service, pretty space, good wings, average drinks, auto gratuity added, worth a visit, especially for vibes or happy hour.
