5 /5 Jessica Lukey: On the way to Austin, I finally visited Taqueria Chihuahua after hearing it was a must-try. It was hot, humid, and sunny—classic Texas weather. Being Memorial Day weekend, the line was long and it took about an hour from arrival to sitting outside. The staff were warm, welcoming, and professional, each with a big smile. I ordered a childhood favorite: huevos con chorizo on a homemade flour tortilla with refried beans. The taco was huge, flavorful, and reminded me of my mom’s cooking—high praise!
We sat on the covered patio with a nice breeze. Later, I realized I left my purse behind. Even though they had just closed, they answered the phone and kindly waited for me to return. Nothing was missing. The staff assured me lost items are always respected there—truly a place filled with great food and good-hearted people.
