Roma Italian Bistro - Lufkin (TX)

5 /5 Lindsey Partlow Smith: We stopped in here on our way home from a trip on Friday, March 7th, 2025. Our service and food were both excellent. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and my colleague ordered veal picatta. Both dishes were hot upon arrival and delicious. I also ordered a side salad which was fresh and crisp. The complimentary bread met all expectations. We would both visit this restaurant again if passing through the area. Highly recommend.

5 /5 Paul Nolan: This is one of the top three restaurants for my wife and I in Lufkin. There are several reasons we love this place including the best pizza in town (a gluten-free option is available if youre interested), an amazing caprese salad, and delicious pasta dishes. If youre looking for a healthy option the grilled chicken and veggies over pasta is amazing (I like to order it with red chili flakes added). We have always found the wait staff to be very friendly and the manager, Tony, is one of the nicest guys youll ever meet - always smiling and very personable. The prices are reasonable as well. The restaurant is a little small so sometimes it can be crowded, but thats never bothered me. Weve also enjoyed dining on the porch many times.

5 /5 Kasha McMaster: We got a Philly romano pizza, subbed the red sauce out for the ricotta sauce and it was possibly the BEST pizza I have truly ever had! You cant go wrong with this yummy pizza! Its so thick and delicious!

1 /5 Marissa Cano: Worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Rolls were “ok” and the cheese sticks looked like they came out of a box you keep in your freezer. Waitress was inattentive and spent 90% of our time there at another table with coworkers playing on her phone. I get that she hates her job (clearly) but you don’t have take it out on paying customers. I would have rather tipped the guy who brought out our food than her (what little tip we did leave). I had less than half a slice of the pizza that was ordered and the person I shared it with also had less than a slice. The cheese looked and tasted like the cheap kind you get at the dollar store that doesn’t melt right. I felt my arteries clogging with each bite. When we had “finished” the waitress came over and asked if we liked it and we said no. She never made an offer for us to try something else or make it right. She just asked if we wanted a to-go box (absolutely not) said “ok I’ll get your check.” $43 for trash. I wish 0 stars was an option. I should have snapped a picture of the pizza to show what an abomination it truly was.

5 /5 Justin Yohn: The Beef Lasagna was amazing!! Probably some of the best I ever had! It came as a very large portion and very hot and fresh! If I ever pass through Lufkin, I will definitely order again! Just heads up, if you are ordering for delivery, not utensils or napkins.
