Rockett Cafe & Club - Waxahachie (TX)

3 /5 H Wayne (Wayne Bob): We live not far from here. In the 6 years we’ve been eating here, every visit has been consistent. We arrive and get a table fairly quickly. Then it takes a short while to get drink orders. Then we wait. Drinks arrive and food orders are placed - now the real waiting game takes place. I do give them grace since after we arrived this time, a deluge of customers show up. But our food orders are placed 10 or so minutes beforehand. The food did arrive at around the 1 hour mark. And it was fantastic. I still can’t believe the size of our chicken fried steaks!! Overall great food but definitely understaffed. They did try to check on us when she could.

3 /5 Anthony Larenzo Porter: OK, where I work they told me about the rocket Café club. So I decided to try it today. Upon entering was greeted fairly the host was friendly. I sat down And I looked at the menu and saw the catfish and that’s what I decided. I wanted it. The waitress came she took my order which I ordered catfish double fries and sweet tea. I didn’t feel a friendly vibe from the waitress, but she was professional. When the food was ready, there was a couple that came in after me and the waitress took my order first. Maybe I’m being a little too petty but when the food was ready and she brought it out, she did take a couple of their food first and then came to me. As far as the food, the taste was OK. The fries were a little hard if that makes sense the fish I can’t say how it was to me. It was fried a little hard but overall giving everything a one out of 10 to include hospitality. I would give this restaurant a four out of 10.The cost was OK. I don’t think I’ll be dining here again. I will be adding photos.

4 /5 B Bryson: The food was OFF THE CHARTS! I so wish this was closer to my home. I wont be driving almost 3 hrs to go eat there but if/when Im in the area or passing through, Ill definitely make an attempt to visit. In addition to the quality/taste of our meals, the portion size(s) were unbelievably large. The plates we ordered were chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & fried okra and chicken tenders with the same sides. The sweet tea was some of the best Ive ever had!!!!!

5 /5 Erica Young: The Rockett cafe is a local and a personal favorite of my husbands and mine. The pork chops are generously sized portions, juicy, and cooked with a little pink. The burgers are well seasoned and a nice medium rare if you ask for it. But what theyre most well known for are their chicken fried steaks, which are outstanding. Ask for Gary, hes a fantastic long time server! The renovations are amazing!
