5 /5 Joel Argo: Cotton Patch reminds me of the great Chicken Fried Chicken meals my family had at the Black-eyed Pea restaurants 40 years ago. The crispy chicken was well done, smothered in white gravy, awesome. The baked squash casserole is the best Ive had in decades. The only downside was the rolls were a bit doughy, but they were warm and tasted fine. And if you havent had Peach Cobbler in Texas during peach season, you are missing a true delight. The service was excellent, and my server knew how to speed things along. The atmosphere was very good. The music was just loud enough to drown out conversations and remain enjoyable without being too loud. If you remember great home cooking restaurants of the past, I think youll find this Cotton Patch a pleasant surprise.
