I ordered the carne asada plate. The asada was very flavorful and made for excellent tacos on their tasty flour tortillas. The Charo beans were ok, but better when I added salt. Rice was pretty standard. They do charge for chips and salsa, which is not an issue. But, for me the flavor wasn’t there. I would be happy if they were free (of course) but wouldn’t pay for them.
Overall my experience was excellent but food was pretty average. I get the feeling that Pepe’s caters more towards the snow birds and those that may not want a lot of spice in their food.
