1 /5 Janie Oyakawa: We came here for a birthday celebration- it wasn’t the fancy brunch we hoped for. Open dining room and we were seated right by others, like right by them. Offered another table by hostess but it was dirty. It stayed dirty, a spoon laid on the ground by the table our whole meal just being stepped over. Asked for one coffee and one fresh squeezed juice - got two juices and no coffee. ($9 per juice.) Every time water was poured the pitcher dripped all over table and plates. We don’t mind ice cold tap water but the water had a pungent odor, let the server know and they said that’s just how the tap water is. Coffee eventually came out with no sugar or creamer till much later. Ordered mushroom quiche, lobster Benny and a muffin. Food looks much better than it tastes. They wouldn’t do a half order of the cinnamon toast pancakes (understandable, just a bummer) Muffin was dry. Had to ask for coffee refill- rarely checked on. Wasn’t busy at all & plenty of staff nearly 1:1 ratio of staff to guests. Lobster Benny needed to be seasoned very flavorless, lobster was chewy tasted more like crawfish than lobster. Potatoes looked like frozen bag potatoes. Mushroom quiche were better still needed more seasoning, little pepper or something. They knew it was a birthday celebration as that was on our reservation- no mention of this besides from the hostess. This was something we were looking forward to from an article rating it #8 restaurant in the state. Beginning to think I may have been taken in by an ad disguised as an article. It was a beautiful hotel restaurant with a mid hotel breakfast for nearly $100 for two people.
