3 /5 Pete Smith: I enjoyed the trout over cheesy rice. And the sweet potato had a nice cinnamon glaze. The shrimp, while flavorful, was somewhat spongy. The complimentary hot buns and butter that was served while we waited for our food was a nice touch. The garden salad side came out pretty fast and was good, as was the balsamic dressing. They had club soda which I was happy about although a little pricey ($3.29) for a small 10 oz bottle. They did not have many of the on-tap beers that were listed on the menu. Also they were out of prime rib, something that is heavily advertised as their best dish, and an ongoing special for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday nights; and since this was early Saturday night, I was surprised and disappointed that they didn’t have it. The steak I did order, “The Logan” sirloin was very difficult to cut through and hard to chew. The sides I chose were adequate - a baked potato and green beans. The server was not that friendly, especially when they recognized that we were not really enjoying the food, and from then on they avoided any interaction, rather than finding out why we might be dissatisfied. All in all, I expected much better, having usually gone to the big competition; but anyway I left with a full belly, and about $60 lighter (for two).
