Loft Kitchen & Bar - Irving (TX)

4 /5 J H: For a hotel restaurant, the Loft Kitchen and bar is pretty decent. You can’t go wrong with the food, and the drinks are pretty good. The decor gives this place a really cool vibe, especially around the bar area

5 /5 Nick Gerlich: Located inside the NYLO Las Colinas Hotel, Tapestry Collection, the LOFT Kitchen is an on-trend eatery (and drinkery!) on the first floor. The exposed concrete motif of the hotel extends into LOFT. Even the bar top is cast concrete. The bar is a good 40 feet long, offering many seats for close-up viewing of any of the three big screen TVs. I had the house-made black bean and quinoa veggie burger. I opted to cut a few calories and have it served as a lettuce wrap sans mayo. It did not disappoint. At a time when it is all too easy to simply pull a veggie burger out of a box, nuke it, and serve it, LOFT did a solid by making something original. Two thumbs up. A full bar with adequate wine and craft beer selections made this a great place to spend an evening typing up this review and some work-related items. I wish I were staying a few days here.

5 /5 Kirk Madsen: Had an excellent lunch thanks for Judi, Eva & Laura! The Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich was perfect, and the atmosphere was modern but cozy and relaxing. I brought my laptop down to get some work done and the team was the perfect balance of attentive and hands-off. Though I’d planned to go elsewhere for dinner, I actually canceled my plans and went back to Loft and watched the games at the bar. Chris was fantastic and the Gobi Cauliflower & Lemon Pepper wings were outstanding. Strongly recommend this hotel and this team!

1 /5 Austin Bunton: The environment is awesome. The restaurant could use some work. We were the only family in there and even the servers spend most of the time behind the bar cutting up with the alcoholics. Also, we ordered tequila lime chicken which could not have been more awful. It tasted as if it were microwaved. Rice was bland. The best part was the “loaded” queso which was a small bowl and of melted American cheese with 2 or 3 diced tomatoes and 1 cilantro leaf. Plus a half a tablespoon of spoon of salt in my Dos Equis Dulled it down quite a bit. Would recommend for the environment but I would steer clear of the restaurant!

1 /5 Outcast: They told me to sit wherever. Most of the tables were for larger groups, I was alone so I sat at a smaller table. Sat there for 20 minutes before someone told me that there was no service in that area and to move to another table. Sat alone at a table for 8. The burger was undercooked. They ended up giving me the meal for free after I complained. My room in that hotel had cockroaches so they gave me the room for free too.
