1 /5 Uria: My wife and I were around when this family first opened their doors, and we’ve always tried to support local businesses. But in a small town, the character of the people running a place matter just as much as the food, and we can no longer support this one in good conscience.
Over the years, the quality has gone downhill. The food has become mediocre at best, and the portions in the half empty burritos and tacos don’t justify the prices anymore. Taco Loco offers better flavor and value. There have been days when we stopped in and the atmosphere felt tense, and some of the employees were noticeably rude as others have pointed out. This isn’t surprising considering the son that took over the business is rarely there for any decent amount of time.
We’ve also heard and seen enough concerning behavior surrounding him that we simply don’t feel comfortable supporting the establishment anymore. He has serious personal issues like drug use, drinking and driving, and rumors of concerning behavior. While many reviews come from people who know the family personally, our own experiences have made it clear that folks can present themselves very differently than they really are. Truly a disappointment
