5 /5 D: Small town vibe, Big city flavor and flair. Stumbled upon Jimmie’s one late night while looking for a nice steak. All other restaurants in the area were closed or closing. Jimmie’s was one of those restaurants. Called to see if they were open and was told they were in the process of closing for the night. With no other options available, we were just about to settle for fast food, thankfully the owner of the establishment called us and told us to come on in. We immediately rushed to the restaurant. Let me tell you we could not have been more pleased. When I say big city flavor that’s exactly what I mean. Everything was delicious from the mixed drinks, too of course the steak. Jimmy’s has it all. Friendly and inviting staff excellent drink choices and a steak that will melt in your mouth. While we were a bit late to enjoy some of the other side options that had sold out during the day. We were still exceedingly satisfied. Thank you Jimmy’s for a wonderful experience. Looking forward to the next time we visit during normal business hours, of course.

5 /5 Jenifer Berge: We were passing through on our way to San Antonio and saw the great reviews, so we decided to stop in. We sat at the bar and the bartender (mixologist) was wonderful! We had the filet which was cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms were just as great. I had the pound cake for dessert which was amazing!!

5 /5 Todd Tubbs: Life for all certainly has peaks and valleys. For me, I cannot imagine a more difficult year than 2020. Having plowed my way home one weekend from Boston, in what should have been an American journey, became something closer to a Stasi experience. Arriving at the house my Kiki had chicken fried steak on the table, and in one bite I was transported to a heavenly land. It was the combination of surreal flavor at the end of an exhausting road that conjured up all that is good in this world to the forefront of my mind. Who made this I gasped? Jimmie. I have heard it said that a great restaurant should remove you from the burdens of life and transport you to another world. Not only did Jimmies takeout provide this experience for me during the most difficult of times, he and Amanda and their team continue to uplift my spirits every weekend over these many subsequent years with their gourmet meals and fine drinks. While I’d prefer never to leave Cleburne, necessity has forced me far and wide. Even at ten times the cost, in the world’s most prestigious cities, I’ve been unable to find a better meal, in any restaurant. We are so fortunate to have this diamond in our hometown.

5 /5 Rogers Gina (G4Grace): We have been to Jimmie’s a couple of times and each time it has been wonderful. The food has always has been such of a treat to our palate. Tonight’s blackened filet was cooked perfectly and so tender. My husband enjoyed a ginger Chilean Seabass. The ambiance was perfect for a special Valentine’s Dinner.

5 /5 Skyler Vasquez: Jimmie is such an amazing chef! Best salmon I’ve ever had! Everything was delicious and Jimmie himself came out to make sure all was well. You can truly tell that everything is homemade and nothing is canned or frozen or anything like that. Highly recommend adding one of the featured butters to your meal - the herb butter was great with the mashed potatoes!
