5 /5 Kenlea Bolton: Been to the Mount Vernon Golden Chick many times. Inside is always clean, servers are always friendly, food is fresh and good. Sometimes there’s a wait, but I don’t mind, that means it’s fresh and hot! I’d rather wait than have chicken that has sat under a heat lamp for a while! Drive thru has provided the same positive experience. Not to mention best little side salad you can get at any fast food place.

The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—seasoned just right. I also tried the rolls and the jalapeño poppers, and they were spot on! The staff was friendly and quick with service, even during a busy lunch hour. The restaurant was clean and well-kept, and my order was accurate and ready fast. You can really tell they take pride in their food and customer service. If you’re craving quality fried chicken with great sides and a smooth drive-thru experience, Golden Chick is the place to go.
