Country Cafe - Irving (TX)

4 /5 Jose L Valdes: This is only our 2nd experience having food from Country Cafe! The first time was dine in and excellent on all accounts. Today (12/7/2025) not so much with getting food to go. Actually, not even a little bit. Placed our order for fried shrimp, catfish, onion rings & fries. Also, for carne asada (with rice, beans of course). Food was tied up when it was handed to me and I fully expected my order to be correct as it was simple and small... But I was very wrong! First, our food was cold and we live very close to the restaurant. Upon inspection we had no condiments to go with the seafood platter so no tarter sauce, cocktail sauce, ketchup, etc. and the worst part is our french fries were missing completely! As I said, this was a small uncomplicated order! We will never order food to go again as it was a total waste of money. If you choose to get to go orders I strongly suggest you untie the bag and inspect everything before you leave!

5 /5 J Reyes: Love, love, love this place!! Recently moved to Irving, so I’m new to the area. We took a chance on this place and were blown away! The prices are so fair, the portions are huge and the food taste like home. I honestly don’t know how they keep the prices so low in today’s world. There is such variety of different flavors. They offer a full American home cooked menu along with a full Mexican menu. Whatever you’re in the mood for, they’ve got you covered! The staff is always friendly and offers top notch service. Truly a hidden gem.

5 /5 Mark Winstead: Been looking for a hole in the wall diner for a while. Passed by this place for years, today I decided to stop. It’s going straight into the regular rotation. I’m a huge fan. Excellent service food was fantastic. Price is great. 30% lower than my previous favorite diner.

5 /5 Shepherd Rides: If you want to feel like you’re having your breakfast lunch or dinner from home, come here. All the staff are nice and caurteous. They have great food Not those food that they heat in those big corporate stores But those foods that come from scratch. Also, this is the only restaurant that I have ever seen that respect their patrons that’s not living anymore. Please see the pictures.
