3 /5 Lo George: It was our first time here, and reservations are definitely recommended. As a Michelin-star restaurant, you can feel the elevated experience from the start. With its inspiration in Mexican cuisine, we were eager to try it—especially since I have a Mexican background.
We were seated right away and started with salads topped with roasted crickets, followed by flavorful fish tacos. The lamb barbacoa entrée, however, was disappointing. At $70+, it didn’t live up to expectations—too mushy in texture and not at all reminiscent of true barbacoa. It left a lot to be desired.
The ambiance was also challenging. The restaurant is extremely dark, making it hard to appreciate the details of the food and décor. On the positive side, service was phenomenal—the staff went the extra mile to explain the menu and the overall concept.
This has the potential to be an outstanding experience if they adjust the lighting and rethink the music. For now, it feels like a missed opportunity. Hopefully, next time will be better.
