Coastal Grill - Galveston (TX)

5 /5 Michael McCorkle: What a surprise. Been to Galveston 40+times and just found this place. Food was very good (not a fan of the fries, very similar to Arbys curly fries, just not curly) but the shrimp and burger were excellent and reasonably priced. Monday night just 2 days before Christmas, had the restaurant almost to ourselves. The service was excellent and fast. No complaints at all.

4 /5 Laura: Overall very good!! Would definitely go back. Wide variety of food (too many options in my opinion made it hard to decide what I wanted), but something for everyone. Only criticism I have is that there was no seasoning on the okra or crab fingers.

5 /5 Kay Porter: Stopped in after Dickens on the Strand for a relaxing bowl of shrimp gumbo and iced tea. Yall the shrimp in this gumbo are HUGE! Flavor is phenomenal! Hit the spot after a long day! You have to give Coastal Grill a try! Huge portions for a reasonable price!

5 /5 Stephen Curington: We’ve visited 3 times recently. The $4-6 tacos were big and good. The shrimp taco was best. The special appetizer Mediterranean combo pictured was excellent twice. We got a beef kabob/chicken kabob and Koobideh with pita, rice, hummus, falafel and tzatziki. The red sauce is good flavored heat. In the background was the chicken kabob plate. It was a more generous kabob with grilled peppers and onion on rice. Service is good, weird twist is after you’re seated, you go back to the counter to order and pay upfront, but there are often large groups so maybe this is a bonus for those folks. Definitely recommend.

5 /5 Benjamin G: Visiting Galveston and we were checking out the Strand area. It was very hot and we were at one end and saw this place. Skeptical at first, but was very pleasantly surprised! It was far enough off the beaten path that there were no tourists or cruise passengers. Seemed like a few locals. The menu was somewhat eclectic and a lot of seafood. But luckily also some great tasting Mexican food. We had the crab cake sandwich and potato soup (delicious!) and Mexican tostadas, which were super delicious and better than I’ve had at traditional Mexican restaurants. They also have happy hour and the margaritas and old fashioned were tasty. Everything was perfect! Thank you Coastal Grill and staff for making this an enjoyable meal experience for our trip.
