5 /5 Patrick Kimbley: My partner and I stopped into Clink the other day on our way to watch the sunset at the lake. We thought we were just walking into a shop to grab a bottle of wine to go, but we were shocked in the best way. It is a full service restaurant and bar with a beautiful selection of wines, and from the moment we walked in the energy was welcoming.
Even though the place was empty at the time, every employee we interacted with gave us their full attention. The woman at the front desk, the bartender, and a guest sitting at the bar who turned out to be the owner, Laura, were all amazing. They quickly picked up on what we were trying to do and went out of their way to help us make it to the sunset on time.
We enjoyed a quick glass of wine during happy hour, and they pulled out the red carpet for us. They checked what we liked, brought out a few options, and even let us taste a chilled bottle of champagne before buying it. After some recent customer service experiences that were less than ideal, this felt refreshing. It was clear that they genuinely care about people and want you to have a great experience, not just a transaction.
Before we left, Laura brought us coupons for next time and shared that her favorite champagne snack is plain potato chips. She even sent us off with a box of chips to pair with our bottle. It was thoughtful, personal, and honestly just made our night.
We were grateful for the experience and will definitely be back when we have more time to sit and enjoy everything they offer.
