3 /5 Darrin Campbell: We came in with good expectations, but left disappointed. Our party of 7 was seated quickly, restaurant was not busy. Our waiter Caden, served us decently quick at 1st then fell off at the mid point. 1st, the chips and hot sauce were really good, we ordered the queso Blanco, which was really good, and we enjoyed the guacamole. 2nd, The $6 beer size was good too. The food arrived in decent time, and was a hit and miss. The fajitas we had were more like shred, string style. Like, small shred bits of chicken, at $19, I’d like some *cuts* of meat? Anyway, the black beans were lukewarm, and we got….2 tortillas, the other ones arrived 7 minutes later after I had finished off the hot plate. Rice was hard and some parts crunchy. The taste was ok, but….
Other meals, the refried beans were lukewarm and lacked flavor, and one dish was supposed to have added shrimp but the waiter never checked back and was already mostly eaten. One meal, a baked potato with birria meat was good. The birria ramen was good. The $9 mangonada was not. We really wanted a hit here, but it was not. Might give it another shot for some chips and a cold beer and maybe an appetizer.
