Blue Goose Cantina Mexican Restaurant - McKinney (TX)

5 /5 Virgie: Elliott was our waiter, and he absolutely nailed it! The location was perfect, right off the highway. There was plenty of space, so we decided to sit outside. My beef fajitas were delicious, but the rice and beans weren’t quite my cup of tea. The guacamole was, however, absolutely amazing! Overall, we had a fantastic time! Thanks a bunch, Elliott, for taking care of us!

3 /5 Brenda Laney: Blue Goose Cantina was okay — not terrible, but definitely not as good as I remembered. We got the queso, which was actually really good, but everything else was kind of bland and dry. The chips and nachos didn’t have much flavor, and the rice and beans were just average. I was especially disappointed with the homemade tortillas — they used to be amazing, but this time they were off and just didn’t taste the same. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but for the price and what I’ve had there before, it just didn’t live up to expectations.

5 /5 Brandon Bair: Do you think Cilantro tastes like soap? Do you miss quality Mexican food if so? You should try out the Blue Goose! I LOVE cilantro and often find restaurants which don’t use it to be… lacking flavor. This is absolutely NOT the case for Blue Goose. Fantastic food, very flavorful and I did not see a single leaf of cilantro anywhere in my dish, the salsas, or the queso. A local friend recommended this restaurant and I owe him a debt of gratitude. The service was top notch, every one was friendly and smiling. In my experience, solo diners do not get the best service, but Skyler made sure I was well taken care of and the Coke Zero never ran out. Even the young man passing out chips and salsa then coming back to clear tables had the best smile and a spring in his step. Do they feed the workers from the menu? They must! Because I had the same happy expression as I left with my belly full and my wallet only slightly emptier from more than reasonable prices. Thursday is cheap queso night, and while it can get a little loud at times it is a colorful atmosphere and relaxing. I would absolutely recommend the Blue Goose and will endeavor to return here in the future.

4 /5 Shyreeta Davis: The queso cheese was very nasty and had no real flavor. Tasted like it was out of a cardboard box but I ate it since I paid for it. I won’t be ordering that again. Everything else I ordered was a hit, especially the steak fajitas! The flavor was awesome and portion size was good! Drinks were okay, could have been better! But overall great place

The staff is friendly and on point, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the drinks are always top-notch. The vibes here are some of the best in McKinney. Every visit is consistently great. Highly recommend Blue Goose Mexican Cantina for anyone looking for great food, great service, and a great time!
