Gerald Murray Very nice and beautiful church. Service was wonderful; however, the sound system needs improvement. I realize it is probably not doable, but an audio visual of songs, readings and prayers vs missals and hymnals would be ideal.

Patty King Hester Music was wonderful. The sermon was difficult to hear over the crying children. To my surprise, there WAS a cry room however, some parents must not be aware it exists.

MaKayla Steglinski I have been attending this church for 11 months now. I was initially interested because of one of their podcast sermons I heard while at work. I was just reclaiming my walk with the Lord after 13 years of not walking with Him. So I needed a welcoming place where I felt I could worship freely, get into community, and truly learn about the gospel. God is doing something pure at PromiseLand. I instantly fell into tears during worship feeling the Holy Spirit moving through the room. I have always been welcomed with a warm smile and greeting. Additionally, the small groups at the church have been a great way to get involved and feel real support from Gods church. This church is so wonderful my husband also reclaimed his walk with the Lord and rejoiced when he found out hed be able to spend his birthday (which landed on a Sunday) in this church. Further, getting involved through serving has blessed me in more ways than I thought initially. I have been serving in the toddler room for over 8 months now and continue to fill with joy when I hear a little ones voice say "Jesus loves me" or "Amen". Finally, this is the first church I have felt genuinely comfortable to tithe at. I know my money is going towards world-wide missionary trips, feeding my local community, fellowshipping with the youth and the elderly, hosting fun nights for the church body, and even as simple as providing communion every First Wednesday (which is a moving experience all in and of itself). From the bottom of my heart, I recommend PromiseLand to anyone who is either just starting, reclaiming, or seasoned in their walk with the Lord. This church accepts everyone.

Diana Perez-Moreno I was at a low point in my search for God when PromiseLand San Marcos was doing their first ever church service in our town. They were preaching the word at Jackson Chapel and I had seen an advertisement posted somewhere in town. I was not a church goer in those days and felt as if I wasn’t worthy enough to even be in the same room as those “holy people”…..lol, a friend saw me walking away to leave and he encouraged me to come in….needless to say I’m glad I did! That was over 20 years ago and I’m so thankful for their commitment to teaching and spreading the gospel. Join us if you are searching for a home church!

Noel Morales I came here because I wanted a church while I went to TXST. What I have found is life-long friendships, incredible mentors, and a new purpose to my life. To say Holy Spirit is present would be an understatement. This church is filled with people dedicated to live every day life in close relationship with Christ. I always love the worship and sermon but most of all I love the community and the contagious hunger and passion of leaders and pastors of HHC. Because of it, I can say confidently I know the Father and I can hear his voice!

RaShae Smith I visited this church this morning because I was on vacation. I was absolutely blown away. The sermon message was incredible. Everything was very Biblically-based. The pastor (John McComb) was humble, wise, and hilarious. If I lived in the area, I would definitely return!

KRYS R I visited The Connection Church last Sunday for the first time and loved it. I am just passing through town while traveling and found this church that was near my airbnb. I vetted them on their website to ensure we had the same beliefs and was encouraged from what I saw on their website. Quickly into worship, I knew I was happy I found this church for that day. The entire congregation was active in worshipping, not just the people on the stage. The sermon was also Biblically based and thought provoking. My soul was very refreshed after not being able to attend church in a few weeks. I would happily return if in the area again!

rosa arroyo Its a new place that I went to, but I am Catholic and I wanted to go check it out. The people seem really nice real courteous and friendly, but I just didnt feel connected. Were used to praying to the Saints and there was no praying on the Saints so I just kinda came out feeling the same way when I came in.

Giselle Owen If you are looking for a spirit filled, Bible based church, Christ Life is it! My husband and I found Christ Life over a year and half ago and it has been such a blessing to our family. We were both baptized in Jesus Name and gave our full lives and hearts to Christ. The Lord is really in this place. His spirit moves and is changing lives every service. Pastor Richard and Pastor Sherri live for the Lord and are 100% Kingdom minded and Jesus first. They are the most selfless and compassionate people who care about your individual growth and walk with the Lord. They live each day with Matthew 6:33 on their hearts and it shows. They lead by example and the Lord has blessed me and my family with their leadership. The Lord delivered me from 10 years with Eating Disorder, anxiety, depression, alcohol. Glidden Torres Christ Life Church in San Marcos is a great church with a solid vision. You will experience the love and grow in your faith in Jesus Christ. The worship and sermon are amazing, you will not be disappointed. The presence of Jesus is in every corner of this place and the people are warm, inviting and truly case about each other. The church is growing and expanding with lots to offer in a near future.

Waylon Harrison Clearly lovers of Christ, lovers of His infallible Word. Alberto is a soft-spoken, earnest man of God. There was nothing contentious, here, but also no pandering to this fallen world. Beautiful balance. Loved my visit. I will be moving quite a ways a way soon, but will certainly visit this church anytime I’m in San Marcos!

Ultimately, in many ways, The Springs is a picture of the hope of victory, reconciliation, and love we can have and experience in Jesus. Chris Miller Got a chance to visit Rock River Church with my whole family a while back. The worship was on point and the teaching was very relatable. My kids loved the kids program. Genuine people who obviously love Jesus!

Josh Frash Rock River Church is new to San Marcos but does a wonderful job of welcoming visitors and organizing church in a simple, effective way. They preach directly from the bible and worship is modern and God glorifying. A place for students, families, and singles alike. Do offer kids church for children to attend which is just next to main gathering room.

Susan From what I’ve seen, Grace Bible Church is living up to their commitment to equip the saints and proclaim Jesus. The sermons are instructional and edifying, and the members are going into the community to tell about Jesus. I would like to pray like Pastor Davis. His prayers reveal his deep love for God and knowledge of the Bible. I will keep listening on line and hope to visit again in person.

Jose Martinez I enjoyed my visit there in the church. They were celebrating their 50 year anniversary. The people were very genuine, and not typically fake that Ive found at other churches. The church goers were very patient and understanding. If I wasnt Lutheran, I would probably go to their church.

SBS My favorite Catholic Church in this area. We arent students and are still very welcomed. This is a very inspiring and homey church. The chapel is beautiful AND comfortable. The homilies are always just what I needed to hear. ,❤️❤️

Angela Villarreal I was in San Marcos ,Tx on Ash Wednesday and my son-in-law attends school at the campus so he was familiar with the area and I was able to attend the service there. Very nice and sweet for students and faculty to be able to attend while on campus. They have lots of programs for the students and I highly recommend it if you attend school here and are Catholic.
